The Red Sails
The Red Sails is the pirate guild that controls the town of Highwater and most of the Viridian Ocean. Their leader is Chief Captain Arvin Silver Eye Drake. Their members pay a certain amount of their winnings to the guild and Chief Captain in Tribute. In exchange, they recieve protection from other pirates within the guild and outside of it, as well as a safe haven whenever they're in Highwater or any of the islands controlled by the Red Sails. Pirates in the guild outfit their ships with bright red sails.
Legend has it, that the sails are dyed with blood. Pirates sailing the high seas of Ianua will give any red-sailed-ships a wide berth when passing, as Red Sail pirates are known to be especially bloodthirsty and ruthless. They will take everything of value on a ship, throw the people onboard into the ocean and leave the ship to float. The coastlines of the islands in the Viridian Ocean are littered with shipwrecks and parts of old intricately carved figureheads.
