Session 19: House of Skulluta Part 2.
General Summary
The session started with the Water Merchants finishing a short rest in the master bedroom on the upper floor, having just defeating a bunch of baddies. The explored the room and checked the walk-in closet. There, they discovered an revealed hidden door - it's false wall having been moved prior. They went through the hidden door which lead into a small storage room full of sacks of rupees, some expensive-looking trinkets, and an overturned, golden, bowl-like half skull. Also on the floor they found several small rocks that were in the shapes and sizes of rupees. Tanager started searching around the room for anything out-of-the-norm, and Sunny went down to the first floor latrine. He offered a stone rupee to the hand that emereged from the latrine, which threw the stone rupee back at Sunny.
As that was going on, the golden skull began moving, and sprouted legs, revealing it to be a skulltula with a golden carapace. Out of the cracks in teh wall, swarms of tiny skulltulas crawled out, and then two large, full grown skulltulas appeared.
A battle ensued. During the battle, the gold skultulla let out an unnatural shriek, which cause some of the rupees on the Water Merchants to turn into small rupee-shaped stones, and had a charming effect on Feng and Thistle. Sunny, hearing the shriek, ran up the stairs to join the fray. Feng, affected by the gold skulltulas charm, grabbed Ora's horn of silent alarm and ran out of the room. Then bear-Tanager grabbed Kassu's axe and also ran out of the room, but shortly came too once he made it back into the master background. Kassu then got attacked by one of the large skulltulas and fell unconscious. Sunny then entered the small storage treasure room, shot and killed the gold skulltula, causing the all the other skulltulas to dematerialize in a puff of smoke, and Feng to regain control over his thoughts.
As they collected themselves and revived Kassu, they found a golden, skull-shaped key inside the gold skulltulas remaining carapace. They then went into the next room, which was a study. The searched the room, finding a small pouch of Stovepipe Weed in one of the drawers, along with several business papers. Sunny took some of the business papers and brought them to the toilet hand, which took them down into the latrine. After servarl minutes, the hand did not pop back up. Sunny then went to the latrine upstairs, and fouind a small chest sitting on the latrine seat. Inside the chest, he found a rock that was sculped in a unique shape, being square rectangular cube on the bottom and a curved steeple-like top.
The group then went to the other side of the upper floor, finding two doors with locks on them. Using the appropriate key, they unlocked the first door. It was another bedroom, looking to belong to a girl. Searching around, they found a hand-written letter on the desk, but the bottle of ink had spilled, obscuring some of the letter. The parts that were legible read:

I wish father w of it, but he loves his paint has hung it in his off rest of his paintin to your corr my heart. MaggThey then went into the next room, which also appeare to belong to anothe girl. Upon opening the door, they saw 3 bodies on the floor and a severed arm. They searched the closet and saw a very fancy looking chest. Bear-thistle tried to determine the scent of where the arm owner went, deducing the scent lead into the closet. Sunny attempted to pick the lock on the chest in the closet. While he was attempting that, Tanager noticed one of the swords laying on the group began to float in the air, along with some dresses, and a nearby mannaquin began moving. As they did, the chest in the closet turned out to be a mimic, and attacked Sunny. The group managed to defeat all the inanimate enemies. When the mimic was defeated, it left behind a purple glowing key. The group then took a short rest. After the rest, the group used the purple glowing key and unlocked the glowing purple lock at the top of the stairs. Behidn the doors, there was a large room with book shelves, windows along hte back wall, a desk, some support pillars. In the middle of the floor, was a kneeling, pale blue, cloaked, humanoid figure, crying. Bear-Thistle attempted to smell if there was a living presence in the room, but did not detect any. The crying figure then turned to the party, and screamed at them with a skull face. As that happened, Sunny and Tanager were shoved by an unseen force. Tanager was able to stop himself, but Sunny was shoved into the room, and the door slammed behind him, separating him from the rest of the party.
