Session 09: A Proposition Behind Closed-Doors
General Summary
The session started off with the group stopping in Trouble-A-Brewin' in Hyrule Castletown. Sunny asked Taffy if she was able to reverse-engineer and make the Bokoblin poison that he had found in the bokoblin cave. She was not able to. The group then bought various potions. After that, they went to the magic ward to have their magic items identified, learning they were in possession of the magic bug-catching net and a rod of water manipulation.
THe group then went to the library, looking for the translator (Maurice) that they had utilized before, to get the note that they found on the Zola Shaman translated. The worker there informed them that Maurice was out of town but will be back in another day or two. The group decided to wait for his return.
That night, the group was at the Tilt n' Stagger Inn. As the hour wound down and the place slowly cleared out of patrons, a tall, male Sheikah entered. He walked over to the table, and invites Feng to the bar for a drink. Feng joined him, and they had a discussion in their sheikah language. The conversation seems cordial, but heavy at times. When they were finished, the sheikah man payed for the groups meal, and wished Feng safe journeys.
Feng then told the group that the sheikah who was just there, Shiro, has a proposition and can provide information on Bogun Redhorn If they were interested, when the moon reached its apex, they were to go to the Tipsy Octorok in the back alleys of the city and give the passphrase "I accept the risk," when prompted. The group agreed to do. They retired to their rooms for the rest of the evening. When the moon reached its apex, the group made their way to The Tipsy Octorok. They gave the passphrase and were allowed entry. They were led by a sheikah to an plain, empty room. Shortly after, Shiro entered the room. The group had a feeling they were not alone in the room. After having the group swear to secrecy, Shiro divulged that he and others suspect Bogun's hideout is along the northern road that leads to and they have set a trap to try to lure Bogun out. The spy network Shrio associates with had learned when the Human members of the Council of Unity would be secretly traveling to Hyrule Castletown the upcoming morning. The spy network leaked this information to the seedy underbelly of the city, believing Bogun could only attack if his hideout was along the road between the two cities.
Armed with that information, the group planned to set out early the next morning, intercept the human representatives, and feign having been attacked by bandits and offer to travel together. Waking up early, the group set out along the northern road towards Kakariko City. On the trek, Feng relayed that Shiro was his old master. Feng stated he his trust for Shiro is still up in the air. Feng also revealed that at a time in the past, Shiro assigned him to be a bodyguard to to an extended member of the Royal Family of Hyrule, was killed on Feng's watch.
After a few hours, the group noticed black smoke rising far off in the distance. They quickened their pace towards the smoke. As they approached they noticed it is a passenger carriage on fire, with bodies of horses and armored Hylian and human. They also noticed cart tracks leading off the trail, in the opposite direction of the woods. The group follows the cart tracks. After a short distance, the group came across a small, rocky mound, with a large, natural recess in it. Inside the recess, there was a ruin of an old stone building, and next to that was another carriage. Surrounding the cart among the trees, shouting and shooting arrows at the carriage, were various rough-looking humanoids (Bokoblins, Bulblins, hylians, and humans).
The group attacked the humanoids who were shooting at the carriage. During the battle, a burly looking human hit bear-form Thistle so hard with a great axe that Thistle reverted back to Korok form, but quickly wild-shaped back into bear form before it was a problem. The group eventually were able to overcome the aggressors, killing most with one running away.
After the battle, three humans emerged from inside the safety of the ruins--two males, one female--and asked "Are they all dead? Did you get them all?"

I've always wanted to prance in the field as a bunny rabbit. This is the perfect opportunity.
Sunny: One thing I'm thinking: "field." Perhaps you can use a taller animal that can see above the grassline?
Thistle: ...I always wanted to be a bunny rabbit.
Sunny: Well, you can be a bunny rabbit, then.
Sunny: Are you Council Menber guards?
Voice: Yes! Who are you?
Sunny: The Water Merchants!

Voice: ....We don't need any water right now! We're in the middle of a battle!
