Beneath the cerulean sky, a sun-drenched Hyrule City hums with joyous chaos. Cyan banners, emblazoned with the Triforce and they bird shaped crest of Hyrule, flutter in the breeze. Laughter mingles with the clang of blacksmiths hammering celebratory trinkets and the clanging of swords in friendly duels.
The aroma of grilled skewers hangs heavy in the air, and music spills from every corner. It's the Festival of Time, an annual event held in Hyrule City, celebrating the Hero of Time's legendary victory over the treacherous Ganondorf. Yet, amidst the joyful throng, shadows stir. Dark-clad figures weave through the crowds, eyes glinting with malice beneath their hoods.
We open with crowds from all over the city and beyond steadily gathering towards a stage that has been set up in the centre of the market square. The stage, stands adorned with intricate tapestries depicting the Hero if Time's valiant deeds.
The crowd hushes as the Royal Family takes the stage. Princess Zelda, radiant in her royal gown, stands next to King Rhobyn, her father. The King strikes an imposing figure that has earned him the respect of his people. This figure is softened by a playful glint in his eye. Once the crowd has welcomed the party, King Rhobyn gives the princess a warm smile and a nod, allowing her to get ready for her part of the ceremony.
Zelda heads behind the stage where she would meet with her co-stars of the ceremony. She would find six descendants of the Seven sages. Herself making the seventh. As well as a young boy, garbed in green, who trembles with barely concealed excitement. He embodies the spirit of the Hero, chosen to re-enact the epic tale during the ceremony – a poignant reminder of the sacrifice that brought peace to the land.
As the King Rhobyn recounts the thrilling saga, the Seven Sages aligning their powers to seal Ganon away, a celestial glow erupts from the boy's hand! A golden triangle, the Triforce's mark, blazes to life. Gasps ripple through the crowd – a portent of destiny, or a harbinger of doom?
As the gasp ripples through the crowd. A blinding light erupts from a nearby rooftop, shattering the festive mood. A bolt of dark magic streaks down, piercing the young boy's chest. His green tunic blooms crimson, mirroring the Hero's fallen foe.
Panic erupts. Princess Zelda, resplendent in her royal garb, rushes to his side, unleashing healing magic with frantic desperation. But her efforts are in vain. The curse, insidious and potent, devours the boy's life force. His breaths weaken, his eyes lose their shine.
With a resolute tear glistening on her cheek, Zelda resorts to a desperate measure. Raising her hand, empowered by the Triforce's sacred light, she weaves a shimmering crystal cage around the dying boy. Time itself bends and warps, encasing him in stasis – a suspended animation, a race against time, a fragile hope against the encroaching darkness. But for how long?
Silence descends upon the vibrant chaos, replaced by a heavy, chilling quiet. The boy's life hangs in the balance, a crimson thread dangling precariously within the tapestry of Hyrulean triumph. This joyous celebration has become a chilling omen, a stark reminder that even in the brightest day, shadows lurk, and a new legend might be about to unfold.
The Festival of Time, once a celebration of light, is now shrouded in shadow. A young life hangs in the balance, a curse unleashed, and a dark power stirs. Will the players rise to meet the challenge, or will Hyrule succumb to the whispers of darkness?
Only one way to find out: The adventure begins now!
