Aldor Herb

The Aldor Herb is an essential ingredient in brewing healing potions.

Identification

The Aldor herb is quite easy to identify when its flower is in bloom. The flower resembles a spiky cone. The petals are packed tightly together, and every so often a stamen protrudes from the cone, giving the flower its spiky appearance. Petals range in color from soft cream to a deep salmon hue. Where the stamens exit the petals, you will often find a dusting of dark blue pollen.
When bare, identification can be a bit more tricky, but practiced foragers should have little trouble. The plant stands 12-18 inches tall. It almost always grows solitarily, rarely in clusters.

Use in Potions

The roots and stem of the Aldor are used to brew potions of healing. Efforts have been made to cultivate the plant, but as yet none have been successful, and brewing relies on foraging. One potion of healing requires 10-15 plants, depending on the skill of the brewer.
