Personal history
Old Home
Once, she had a loving family with a mother and father, in the Inhula clan, one of the most esteemed families in the Kingdom of Sobdul. At birth, as was the tradition for her family, she was paired with an egg of the Uhkuze, an exoskeletal beast of burden supposedly common in that strange continent. When she came of age, Zajoura named it 'Kuni', the Sobduli word for 'proud'. From that point, the two were inseperable. For the short period of her young life, Zajoura was happy. When she was seven years old, however, this all changed. The K’Voth, a race long forgotten, showed themselves to be real, wielding shards of the blue crystal that could summon lightning and turn ordinary insects into unnatural abominations with elemental abilities. They stormed from the jungles, burning the crops, slaughtering and enslaving entire cities and driving the humans of the Ikr kingdoms into exile or asymmetrical warfare in the jungles. The Inhulas were one of the lucky few to have any means of escape, but even this was very relative. As she boarded a boat Zajoura and her mother were forced to watch as her father fought and was killed by the general of the attacking force, @Viisineroth. From then on, she was on the run from the world’s terrors.A pirate's life for Z.
After a year of sailing east, living off the sea they found themselves in the pirate infested waters of the ‘Northern Kingdom’, now a kingdom in name only. Ever since the Fires and Olm's collapse into ashes, the so called kingdom was now a hotbed of chaos as native tribes, exiles and criminal gangs competed with each other for riches, plunder and the supposed treasures in the temples. Zajoura then spent her youth and adulthood alike fleeing and later fighting the pirates, tribes and criminal rings that flourished in the islands. During these journeys, she met a number of colourful characters as both rivals and friends, such as the notorious 'Little Johnny', a dwarf who had mastered the taming of the Regal Gryffons that roam the 'Northern Kingdom'. Others were untold numbers of murderers, cuthroats and scoundrels, many of whom fell to her crew and the dangers of the sea.Finding a mentor
During these years, her mother gained help from an old friend from the Confederation of Nuda, named Hirotek, commander of the legendary Boneship, a ship supposedly made partly of the bones of its first crew. A former bodyguard to one of Nuda's chiefs, Hirotek was happy to train Zajoura in the ways of combat, and how to not let her rage take over her when fighting the enemy. Eventually, about seven years ago, she also lost her mother to slavers, leaving only her companion and mount, Kuni for her old family. From then on, she vowed never to be mastered again. Hirotek was now getting older and no longer saw himself suitable to be captain, so on her twenty-third birthday, he handed over captainship to Zajoura, for in his eyes, she had proven herself worthy.A new life
Building a crew of exiles, victimised natives, fellow refugees and simple oppurtunists, she rose her way through the ranks, on a quest for vengeance, all while avoiding the The Phurzic Dominion ’s raids to root out piracy. Eventually, as her lowest members grew tired of running, she decided it would be best to settle down. The safest option for her crew would be to settle in the Dominion itself, particularly the Governate of Il-Azori. But this wouldn't be the end of her worries.Gender Identity

Education
Combat training
Trained as soon as her body started to grow, particularly by a ship's captain and former bodyguard means Zajoura has become a skilled fighter in her time. While her preferred weapon is a billhook she captured from the notorious Sulan pirate Kirov Staas, she has also trained herself in the use of knives or a sword. Having a sway in her walk since that fight, however, she has never been as good with ranged weaponry such as the bow. Nevertheless, she has bested a number of opponents superior to her in size and power, using her speed and agility to overcome. Captaining a ship has made her familiar with the dangers of the sea and of mutiny. Ensuring that her crew are well off not just physically but also mentally and spiritually, she inspires deep loyalty in most of her crew. Any mutiny is punished harshly, including imprisonment, maiming or death. Hirotek has always been there to temper her darker moods, however.Multi-lingual
Having spent a life the northern Isles, where not only are there a number of different native languages, but it is a crossroads of pirates, traders and fellow refugees, Zajoura has by necessity had to learn many languages. She is most fluent in Yuka, as well as her home tongue of Sobduli, though Nudan, Goro, Sulan and Ripachi are also known to her, among others. Being a common trading tongue, she knows Phurzic reasonably well, though she struggles to understand Azori as its alphabet and pronunciation stand out from any of its neighbours, north or south.Employment
As she first enters the Dominion's Governate of Il-Azori, she is recruited by Gueorge to be an Inquisitor, investigating a series of political murders alongside Hirotek and Kuni. She also begins to make new friends along the way. Not to mention enemies.
