Philharts
A nomadic people ancestral to the modern Phurzic peoples, the Philharts were a culture of proud warriors who roamed the lands of eastern Tzunar and western Vork trading and warring with neighbours and each other. Whether on foot or on horseback, using deadly bows, they were feared across eastern Tzunar and even among the Xollin of Vork. When the Jazyarts’ ancestors arrived from the eastern lands however, their mobility, strirruped horses and skill with a bow proved too much for the Philharts, with a few even riding murks into battle. Seeking a more powerful protector, they turned to the rising empire of the west, known as Olm.
Structure
The ancient Philharts elected saddle-kings upon the death of a ruler, preferring direct democracy over hereditary rules. This may have been one of the influences for their distant descendants adopting a democratic republic.
