King Alvir Derleon (a.k.a. Alvir the Third)

The elderly king of Evergnon, and one of the oldest humans in the known world, Alvir is one who unfortunately has his best ruling days behind him. Once a wise and considerate king, willing to deal with threats like the Jazyart fiercely, his mental decline and the ascension of his advisors to positions of power have left Evergnon more desperate. He still shows up to meetings of the kingdom’s lords and ladies, and offers instruction to those willing to listen. In spite of his failing mind, he remains a caring grandparent and his moments of lucidity are often triggered by his young grandson, so that the young boy is rumoured to being groomed as his next heir.
Alvir was always wary of the growing power of the Dominion, especially after the conquest of neighbouring Altyn, but still understood the stability they offered aaa friendly nation. While not willing to let his nation be turned into another Governate, his advisors use this to justify their turn to them as Cyxi’s confederation continues to grow in power.
