Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones (a.k.a. The Pararomantic)

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Nathan Jones, "Nate" to only a few, never knew the world of monsters every existed, until his sister was brutally killed by a pack of werewolves.  In the midst of searching for his missing sister, Nathan encountered a professional monster hunter, Margaret "Maggie" Harris.  In helping Maggie find her sister's killers, Nathan discovered that he was able to read others well, aiding in the investigation.  This was more than just be insightful or intuitive, it was discovered that Nathan was an empath, able to read and feel the emotions of other people and, on rare occasion, of monsters.  This was not the only thing that Nathan discovered.  He also realized, almost stumbling upon it, that Maggie had grown to have feelings for "Nate", feelings that he willingly reciprocated.  So Maggie and Nathan began hunting monsters together - she having the resources and expertise, he having the ability to read emotions and motivations on the fly.  Their partnership and relationship blossomed until, in the midst of an investigation two years ago, Maggie disappeared, seemingly without a trace.  Try as he could, relying on what she taught him, Nathan disparately searched for his beloved.  While others believe her to be dead, Nathan refuses to give up hope that Maggie is still out there somewhere, and that he has the power to save her.  Nathan continues to hunt monsters, hoping against hope that he'll be able to find that one clue that will lead him back to her and their future together.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Nathan is devastated by Maggie's disappearance.  He tries to put on a brave face and solider on, but has lost a lot of his motivation in fighting against monsters and the cruelty they inflict on the world.  Nathan has never been the most athletic or tough and physically it makes him a liability in a fight.

A hunter of things that go bump in the night lamenting the loss of his partner and girlfriend, Maggie. I am in touch with my feelings ... and yours too!
