Ley Lines

Ley lines are straight lines between cities and landmarks. Said to be indicators of arcane importance, ley lines are studied to predict the locations of significant sites. Some arcanists believe the lines mimic the power of constellations. In previous eras, monuments, ritual sites, and cities would often be built upon existing ley lines, in the hopes of strengthening the arcane bonds or drawing power from them. In the current era people cannot afford the luxury of choosing a set place to put a city.

Manifestation

A ley line exists anywhere that two cities can be connected by a straight line. Some ritual structures also act as nodes for ley lines, provided they are not pulled under by Churn.
