Personal history
Helen was abducted from her family and forced into Tarek's guardianship from a young age. She was forced into the harem, where she developed a relationship with one of Tarek's enforcers, Julian. During the Battle of Gamble, the entire caravan was disabled. She escaped on Tarek's personal crawler after he kidnapped technicians from other caravans to repair it. When the vehicle broke down due to sabotage, she walked back to their prior encampment along with Tarek, Julian, and five other enforcers. The group took over an airship already hijacked by essene harvesters. Her boyfriend was murdered by Tarek and his other enforcers during their journey to the north pole, and afterwards Helen led a mutiny against Tarek's control of the refugee ship. She was shot and wounded during the battle. After recovering from her injuries, she traveled to the planet Freehaven to start a new life.
