Winter's Harbor

Winter's Harbor survives as a small refining community and port city. Small amounts of gold and silver are mined in the Arbiter Mountains and then shipped down river to Winter's Harbor.

Demographics

Winter's Harbor was founded by Carvasians and Stricers that had drifted north over the Arbiter Mountains. The culture is a blending of the two, emphasizing agriculture and mining.

Government

The local government in Winter's Harbor is a liberal democracy. Although it is not the capital of Alyeska, it is the most well maintained city in the country. They collect fees from trade coming down the Winter's and Arbiter Rivers.

Defences

Winter's Harbor is surrounded by a stone wall and protected by an all volunteer civil service and defense team.

Industry & Trade

Winter's Harbor produces nothing on its own. It only serves as a resting place for ships coming down river and as a storage place for crops grown in the surrounding area.

Infrastructure

The city is well maintained, with cobbled roads, sewage and garbage collection, and public parks and gardens. Unlike, North Anchorage, all citizens are welcome to enjoy all the city has to offer.

Assets

Winter's Harbor collects fees from trade ships using its docks.
