North Anchorage

North Anchorage is the seat of power in @Aly. It is a refining and port city of renown. The mountains south of North Anchorage are particularly rich in gold, silver, marble and granite. The ores and stones are sent down river where they are refined in North Anchorage.

Demographics

The residents of North Anchorage are a majority East Bijoan descent. As a port city, however, it has a mixed population. Most residents work in shipping or the service industry.

Government

The local government in North Anchorage is run by the richest woman in Alyeska, Greta Blu. Her business acumen, savvy investing, negotiating skills and cheapskate nature keep the city solvent and prosperous. There is a deep class divide, however.

Defences

North Anchorage is defended by a paid mercenary group, The Band. They are known by locals as Greta’s Greenbacks or just the Greenies.

Infrastructure

The city is known for its marble and granite towers, parks and gardens, and pristine docks, all built on the backs of the poor, who are not allowed to use them.
