South/Southwest Region: Paradeinisi
There is a large island known as Paradeinisi in the midst of the Iron Chain, ruled by a Venusian queen. This island lies halfway between the continents of Chijiplum and Wadwala, has the largest concentrated population of Venusians in the world, and is the base from which they launch their pirate attacks. Although most races are considered fair game for robbing, raping, and eating, the Venusians respect the Green Elves and often trade slaves or other goods with them.
The industrial and military demands of the island Venusians are somewhat higher than their desert and jungle sisters. This is due to the labour involved in building and repairing ships, as well as the constant threat of Sahuagin attacks. Consequently, the Venusians of Paradeinisi train their males to do menial tasks. Exceptionally intelligent males are taught to fight and given guard duties. They are only included on naval excursions as oarsmen. The island Venusians also raise and train Hippogriffs to be mounts for their elite Cavaliers.
