South Region: Chibo Freefolk
Some of the inhabitable Simmering Sea and Iron Chain islands, the Emerald Forest, and the Spider Jungle to the east of that are home to a number of Chibo-speaking communities that do not consider themselves subject to the King of Diamonds. Aside from the monsters, life is easy in western Wadwala, weather fair, and rich fruit always within reach. Chibo villages are simple and offer few class options. Broadly, there are three sorts of Chibo community: Highland, who live in the Spider Jungle, which occupies a plateau along the middle of the continent; Lowland, who live in the Emerald Forest surrounding Smaragdu; and Lakeland, which includes the Chibo living alongshore the large lakes of the Emerald Forest and Spider Jungle, as well as those occupying islands in the lake or off the coast.

Structure
Bands usually divide duties by sex, although individuals are free to take on whatever role that suits them best: men generally hunt and gather under supervision of a male elder, while women manage all the internal affairs of a village under a committee of elders. The women's elder committees are also responsible for declaring war and selecting who will make up an army, recruiting on the basis of bravery, loyalty, wisdom, and strength, regardless of sex.
