Martial Arts Styles: MA007 Killaqente {Void}

Killaqente, AKA Batshadow is claimed by the Temple of Camazotz to have been taught to them by the bat god himself. The style is suited to both jungle and urban settings where conditions are dark and close and menaces could be lurking nearby at any time. Besides being the favoured style of the Temple of Camazotz, Killaqente is the tribal style of the Svartalf/Human Bat Tribe occupying the central jungle mountain region of Chijiplum, and is also popular among the thieves and assassins of Olmacatincan, the dominant city in the area. Outside the continent, the style is in use among many Plutonites and Vampires, but rarely used by anyone else, usually only available to members of an assassin's guild.
Batshadow is a hard-soft style with a rounded set of maneuvers. Although useful and novice levels, it takes a long time to fully master with 16 special maneuvers in addition to weapon forms and supplementary requirements. Training basically divides into three areas: awareness, neutralizing, and escaping. It can be used defensively to foresee and forestall threats or offensively to immobilize, kill (or rob), and disappear. Despite its popularity among outlaws, masters of the art attract pupils as diverse as detectives and rangers who see its value for a professional stalker or fighters seeking to expand their repertory of "animal" kung fu forms.
