The Great Rail Wars

Bayou Vermilion

Run by Baron Simone LaCroix. Due to his hermit-like behavior, people don't know much about him. Some rumors suggest he dabbles in the black arts. LaCroix has gained a reputation as being a voodoo master of the first order--a dark magician.

Black River

Run by Mina Devlin, widow of the railroad's founder, Miles Devlin. After Miles was assassinated, Mina went on a killing spree--tracking down all those who had anything to do with her husband's death.   Mina intends to prove that women can be just as ruthless, megalomaniacal, and capable as men. Her campaigns are seductive, violent, and above all, intimidating. Her most powerful employees, the Wichita Witches, are spread all over the place overseeing her operations. Their presence is seen as a bad omen to anyone who isn't friendly with Mina Devlin.

Dixie Rails

Founded by the late Robert E. Lee, Dixie Rails is now managed by his nephew, Fitzhuge Lee. Dixie Rails is considered the underdog of the Rail Wars. Recently, however, it has picked up the pace.

Iron Dragon

Run by Warlord Kang, many fear his pirates who ruthlessly steal from miners and other rail lines. Kang spends money as fast as he makes it, usually on opium, prostitution, and any other vice he can dip his hands into.

Union Blue

Run by the famous hero of Gettysburg, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. He has an incredible sense of integrity and honor, which has given him many advantages along the way--easily negotiating with towns and even disputed territories.

Wasatch

Run by Darius Hellstromme. His advancements in technology allow him to lay track at an astounding rate. On top of that, he never struggles to secure right-of-way through the various boomtowns of the West. His methods include cash bribery, gifting a few of his inventions, or if that didn't work, terror tactics.
