Age of Filloch - Sunset Period
200AP
To celebrate the Queen’s 200th anniversary as Imperial Guardian she offered a reward to any warrior who proved themselves worthy in the arena.
The champion would receive the pure essence weapon Victorino Ten; The very blade the Queen had used in her glorious battles to become the Guardian. The interest it created in Battle Balt meant every seat was occupied during any major contest.
People waited in expectation of seeing this blessed gift handed to their favourite balter. The Queen, however, refused to bow to public pressure and never parted with her precious weapon. As of this date, over 600 years later, still nobody has been deemed worthy. Time erodes all things and this legend much like that of the Dark Lord has turned to myth and scrubbed from most official record books. 201AP: The game had evolved so much over the last century that Filloch decided a new name was required. One that could better reflect the glory of an arena contest and so, in consultation with the Queen, both agreed to Battle Balt. The new era of Arena combat had begun.
