SE07 : EP18 - Nadir Part IX -Eyes in the Dark

General Summary

Heading the warning to leave, they try to flee the tower. They find themselves descending into a network of caverns full of bioluminescent mushrooms. As they sulk around, they are set upon by one of Kizentak's Beholderkin, the Gaught. After one of them, it rolls along the ground into a pool of purple goo, where it seemingly returns to life to continue fighting before violently exploding. Two more arrive from deeper into the cave. The group backs themselves into a corner to fight them off. They Battle one, each one exploding after they die. After slaying the four of them, the party has a chance to catch their breath.
  They examine the Pool of purple swirling luminous goo. It is a strong essence of power magic. Heper falls in as they plan there way across it. Teh construct enlarges under the influence of the substance. Now massive they hop a rid on him to cross. After the spells wears off they traverse a narrowing winding corridor.
The end of the pitch-black passage is a larger chamber cut in twain by a chasm. Subterrain flowers bloom, and they see a bony tail crossing the gap. it leads to an almost skeletal dragon corpse. Lionel sees Sasha's shield guardian wrenching out the dragon's maw. The golem notices him and then moves away into the murk. The rest of the party crosses over the gap. Investigating they notice the breath weapon gland was likely what was taken.
Following where the shield gurdian went leads yo daylight and an exit.
