A yellow crystal, obtained from the heart of a Yellowheart rock elemental. These crystals are said to house the souls of these elementals. When one of these elementals dies, its soul gets stored in the crystal. The crystal is stored back into the mountain until a new elemental is born. This way, the souls of the elementals live on into the next generation. How long this process has been taking place is unknown.

Material Characteristics

The stone is yellow, glowing dimly (5 ft dim light). It glows in a pattern that looks like a slowed down heartbeat. This effect is lost if the stone gets chipped.

Creating apparel or jewelry from these crystals grants the user an incredible boost of memory (granting the Keen Mind feat), but will slowly drive the user to insanity because all the souls of the elementals latch onto the user.
Creating any object without chipping the crystal will result in an object that has hundreds of voices that talk to the user. If guided correctly could result in a powerful item.
