Onoma Windstrider
Born Onoma of the Windstrider Pride, Urraca was raised in a nomadic life, learning to herd the prized cattle that her family have bred for generations. A chance encounter with a traveller lost in plains where the Windstriders make their home, irrevocably changed the course of her life. Always fond of the nicer things in life, Urraca jumped at the chance to earn her own money when the traveller offered payment in return for guiding him back to civilisation. Unfortunately, upon reaching the nearest city, the traveller took off without paying her, and with most of her supplies, leaving her stranded in a strange city with little chances of getting home. She fell in with a gang of thieves and ran with them for a few months, learning the tricks of the trade before stumbling upon a unique 'business opportunity'. A drug called 'grave dust' was spreading throughout the region, but recent crackdowns saw the usual trade routes disrupted, and many dealers were seeking new ways to move their product. The Spáwnni plains are vast, and only the Leonin prides can claim to fully know them.
Urraca approached numerous dealers, until one finally decided to take a chance on her wild idea for smuggling grave dust through the plains, along the secret paths known only to her pride. For years, Urraca built up a sizeable drug empire, right under the noses of the Spawnni prides. Her own pride, the Windstrider, had welcomed back with open arms, ignorant of the criminal enterprise she brought back with her. When they eventually found out, she was dealt the worst possible punishment for a Leonin - the so-called 'Living Death'. She was stripped of her pride's name and banished from her home, the mark of her punishment branded into her forehead to warn all Leonin not to interact, or even speak, with her. Abandoned by both her family and her former criminal contacts, Urraca was forced to claw out a meagre existence alone. She was on a downward spiral when she received a vision from Banba, who offered her redemption in return for service. Desperate to be welcomed back into her pride, she accepted. She took on a new name and began fourteen years of service as an adherent of Banba. She has one year left of servitude before she can return home...
