Grand Tour

Among Humans, the "Grand Tour" is a custom of a traditional trip undertaken by upper-class young men of sufficient means and rank (typically accompanied by a chaperone) when they had come of age (about 21 years old).
Young women of equally sufficient means ("debutantes"), or those of either gender of a more humble origin who could find a sponsor, could also partake.


(The expression "débutante", or "deb" for short, refers to young girls of marriageable age who participate in a semi-public upper class social scene. The expression "deb's delight" is applied to good looking unmarried young men from similar backgrounds.)
