Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Alexis is thin for his height because of his medical condition as well as being homeless making finding food difficult. Since dying and becoming a shade, he has filled out a bit more but is still slender and lanky. He has a square jaw and bright red eyes, and you can often find him smirking. Though he's small and seems unable to lift much, he is incredibly strong due to his shade abilities and weighs next to nothing. Though his medical condition left with his life, he still has phantom pains that he largely tries to ignore, and occasionally craves pain medication even though it is purely a placebo effect.

Apparel & Accessories
Alexis keeps his clothes simple, as he doesn't have much of a wardrobe or an eye for fashion. He usually wears a black v-neck and jeans with a belt. He can often be found wearing his magenta jacket, which was given to him by the boy he was dating before his father took him home. It's one of the few possessions he owns, and it's the only piece of clothing he doesn't emulate in his human form.
Specialized Equipment
Alexis' camera is his most precious item. It's an EOS Kiss Digital and belonged to his mother before she died. He can perform simple maintenance on it, and sometimes solve more complex issues when he has access to the correct tools. For larger problems he goes to someone who fixes it for him for cheap. It's one of the few reasons he will spend money.

Personal history
Alexis was born to a middle class family that did well for themselves. His father worked as a police officer and his mother was a college professor that taught anthropology classes. Alexis gained a fascination with cameras at a very young age, as his mother was also very interested in them and was delighted to show him how they worked. He gained a talent for photography, and initially loved photographing cityscapes and candid people.
He did quite well in school; well enough he was often bored and would get himself in trouble trying to entertain himself. When he was in middle school his mother started having medical complications and spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital while his father began to be entirely absent from his life, leaving him home alone most of the time. He began hanging out on the streets to take photos and ended up falling in with a group of boys belonging to a gang. His mother's conditioned worsened, and his father was nearly never home, and he fell deeper and deeper into it until he had no way out.
When he was in high school, his mother finally succumbed to her illness. He began skipping school entirely, his photos changing to that of abandoned places, and when his father found out he decided he would become more involved and controlling of every aspect of Alexis' life. When the gang found out that Alexis was the son of a cop, they kicked him out and beat him to near death. His father learning that Alexis was involved with a gang for so many years through the hospital and police that arrived on the scene only infuriated him more, and he became even more controlling.
The injuries Alexis sustained from being beat left him with a syndrome that caused extremely painful muscle spasms, which took nearly a year to become manageable. He missed almost every day of class that entire year and had to go through physical therapy and change his diet entirely in order to manage the condition. Once it was manageable, Alexis returned to high school to redo the grade under the watch of his father and no friends to be spoken for.
Alexis' father's oppressiveness and authoritarian and physically abusive parenting kept him in school with good grades. Alexis would often go to the library under the guise of tutoring sessions or class projects to sneak time with whatever boy he was having a fling with at the time. After he graduated, his father forced him off to college where Alexis tasted freedom for the first time in several years. He spent a bit too much time partying and sleeping around, and he became addicted to pain medication due to his roommate offering him one every time he had a spasm. The pain medication was discovered and his roommate pinned it on Alexis, who was expelled. In a desperate attempt to not return home, Alexis began sleeping with anyone who would offer him a bed and a meal for the night.
Alexis was able to keep this up for two months before his father showed up at the door of the apartment he was staying at. He'd spent the entire two months tracking him down after he'd learned about the expulsion, and had found out that Alexis was gay during his search. Alexis could do nothing but be taken home. Alexis' father broke his arm while beating him and told the hospital it was another gang fight, which was believed because of his father's status as a cop and Alexis' history.
The minute the cast was off, Alexis packed what he could and ran from home at the age of 18. He devoted all his time to photography of abandoned places, and posted them on Instagram, where they became quite popular. His stomach spasms became worse as time went on, to the point he would do anything to get pain pills. He stole from stores to get food as he was too afraid to go to a shelter because his father could find him there. His depression got worse and worse until he began to save up pain pills and looked for an abandoned place to die in. While on this search, he walked into a house and was caught by the owner, none other than Jérémie Aumerle.

Alexis is very intelligent but doesn't like to display it. He was expelled from college after one semester.
Mental Trauma
Being neglected by his father for the first half of his life and then emotionally and physically abused by him for the second half, as well as his gang whom he considered his friends and family turning on him so quickly has given Alexis deep-seated trust issues and fear of abandonment. He has extreme depression and had suicidal thoughts before he was killed.
Intellectual Characteristics
Alexis is quite book-smart and can come up with plans quickly and easily, but his anger often leads him to become reckless before he can think through them entirely.
Morality & Philosophy
Alexis believes that if the world doesn't care about him, why should he care about it? Everyone wants something from someone. He believes it's right to do whatever it takes to keep yourself alive, even if that screws over others. Though he thinks many people could use a good beating, the thought of killing anyone makes his blood run cold.

Virtues & Personality perks
Alexis is incredibly loyal once he makes a friend. Abandonment and betrayal are two things he can't bring himself to do to someone he considers close to him. He's very protective of people he's close to. He's kind and gentle under all the anger he's got inside of him.

Alexis is angered easily, and tends to be very reckless with himself. If he finds a reason to justify hurting someone he has no qualms in doing so, even if the reason is slight. He tends to be very closed off to most people, and unwilling to talk about his own emotions or issues unless pressed.

Family Ties
Alexis' only family was his mother and father, and his mother died when he was in middle school. He ran away from home after his father nearly killed him for being gay, and being expelled from college. He wants nothing to do with his father and plans on never seeing him again, and if he does, he plans to kill the man.

Alexis is extremely flirty and always seems like he's up to no good when around others. He enjoys teasing and pushing buttons but always stops before he goes too far. He acts very confident, cusses a lot, and won't talk to people unless they talk to him first, or he decides they're cute enough to flirt with. Around friends he is much more withdrawn and relaxed, though he'll still tease and flirt.
Wealth & Financial state
Alexis is homeless and has no job, and therefore is incredibly poor. He'll often steal food instead of bothering to buy it, or dine and dash. The most expensive thing he owns is his camera, and it and pain medication is the only thing he will spend money on. Since meeting Emmett, though, he's been willing to spend some money on things for Emmett if they're not able to be stolen easily.
