Personal history
Born in fire, forged in battle, Blaze Val'Darian is cocky, brash, and tends to be a bit more cynical than someone his age should be. A Master of the Spear, an accomplished poet, and an expert fire breather, he has become one of the most awarded and praised members of the Royal Family. His Personal life is full of intrigue and gossip, being born during a 'cursed' night, he has had to quell many rumors regarding his birth, and the nature of what it means for his life. Befriending the Architect, and leading countless battles against bandit clans hidden among the canyons surrounding Ember has given him respect among the people, yet it is still a constant battle.
In more recent history, Blaze Val'Darian was the warrior who slew the Great Dragon during the Battle of Sanctuary, defeating the dragon high above the city atop the Tower of the Enlightened. He, the Dragon, and the Sword of the Gods plummeted over the side during this event, and he was only saved by the quick thinking, and magic of Councilor Alvred of Arcanis slowing his fall. The Sword however pierced the ground, along with the dragon's body. One of these two actions is thought to have caused the Cataclysm that destroyed the old world of Edri, and Blaze blames himself for the countless deaths.

Aside from his Military and Personal exploits, his most famous claim is being the well known Dearest Friend to The Architect.
He also wields the newly forged "Sword of the Broken Gods" used to destroy The Great Dragon, also called "The Breaker of the World".
Now sits as one of Ember's two Ambassadors on the Council of the Enlightened with his twin sister Fira.
Failures & Embarrassments
A personal failure, considered mainly to himself, was the Cataclysm of the old world. Blaze considers actions, mostly out of his control, to be the cause of the world ending. He silently listens to those around him telling him that it was none of his doing, and even consulted with the Librarian during the year long period in the 'waiting zone' between worlds about the conflict. The Librarian told him that it was an unrecorded historical point. (A very RARE occurrence, only happening when divine intervention is at play.)
Mental Trauma
Blaze suffers from Depression after the Cataclysm, seen often shadowed by his Guardian Lady Commander Vix walking along the shores of Sanctuary, or along the mesa cliffs of Ember lost in thought. Often his thoughts waver in conversation as well, speaking about the old world as if it were still a part of his current surroundings.

Spending most of his time surrounded by Military Generals and Priests, Blaze has a very stern personality when in command of a situation. Behind closed doors however, he laughs heartily among friends, and is known for pulling often ridiculous pranks. His philosophy toward life is centered around the circumstances of his birth. He believes that hard work, and sacrifice can push any sort of rumor or attitude toward himself aside. He is a stern believer in the God of the Flame, yet, in his own actions seems to attempt to defy his teachings, and prophecies.

Feels a sense of guilt about the death of the Old World, his motivation comes from the encouragement of those around him. His closest friends would say that without support, Blaze would have taken his own life during the one year period it took the Arcanis Magicians to find the new world.

Born as the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Ember, Blaze was born on a moonless night, a bad omen among the Blessed of Ember. Thirteen priests were brought into the birthing room to pray over his mother, who died during childbirth, regardless of prayers.

Found hung by the neck in his chambers within the Tower of the Enlightened by his sister Princess Fira Val'Darian. This however was deemed a murder by the strange circumstances surrounding the theft of the Sword of the Gods.
