The Imperial Negresti College of Artificers

The Imperial Negresti College of Artificers (informally: The Artificer's Guild) is one of the major academic institutions in the Negresti Empire. While headquartered in Collibria, The College has guildhalls, research outposts, or strongholds in nearly every major Negresti settlement. The College's guiding principle is that deeper understanding leads to better lives for everyone. As such, they are always searching for the forgotten secrets of Korris and ways to increase their power and influence inside and outside the Empire.
Most recently, the College discovered a method to magically imbue ships with consciousness creating a Liveship. These ships can act as an integral part of their crews; surpassing the speed and agility of mundane seagoing vessels. This advancement has seen the status of the Guild soar to new heights recently as the Negresti greatly desire to be able to compete with the Curran Naval and merchant fleets. A large part of the expansion in the Western Wilds is driven by collecting the timber resources needed to construct more Liveships.
Many factions and schools exist within the college including: The Manufactorum, The Corvan Custodia, The Clockwork Breath and The Arcane Tempest.
