Half-orcs

Nomadic tribes of Orcs have always roamed the norther reaches of Iolivus. Some orc tribes allied with humans to fend off advances from even more terrible foes and these alliances sometime resulted in marriages either for love or to seal a political alliance. Thus, those of mixed Orc blood began to emerge. Most common in the Northern city-states, Half-orc communities are often tight knit and even when members leave to seek their fortunes elsewhere on Iolivus, they are always welcomed home when they return. Due to their physical prowess, Half-orcs often find themselves as part of the military, constabulary, or as mercenaries but are not restricted to these roles. Orc blood runs strong, so, even if it has been more than one generation since a parent was full blooded orc, the half orc traits often still present fully. It has been known to take 4 or more generations for orc traits to begin diluting.
