Aramian Insurrection

A rebellion that engulfed nearly the entire Octantis Sector in war. 122 of the 196 planets within the Sector experienced some form of unrest, and of them 74 would fall completely to rebel forces. It would take 17 years to entirely clear out the rot, the primary task to which every Inquisitorial Acolyte within Octantis has been tasked for that length of time.   Due to the extended nature of this manhunt, our arrival and establishment of an Inquisitorial presence on Ithaka has been much slower than we would have liked.

The Conflict

Outcome

Sector-wide defeat and removal from power all those of noble Aramian descent, A deep distrust amongst loyal citizens of their neighbors, and occasional city-wide brawls breaking out between transplants from other sectors and those native to the Octantis Sector. Most of the advanced technology that was meant to be exported to the wider Imperium as 'newly discovered STC information' was instead destroyed, though a few instances - such as the high-yield deuterium nuclear reactors in use on nearly every planet in the sector - were allowed to remain under heavy supervision of the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Inquisition.   And enough paperwork to outweigh a herd of grox for us administrative workers.

Aftermath

Yet to be determined. The Insurrection was such recent history that its almost impossible to tell what the long term effects might be, especially once we're able to reconnect with the wider Imperium.

Casualties

274 Adeptus Astartes, split between the three Chapters mentioned above. Numbers on which Chapter each loss came from is...difficult to come by, the Astartes don't let go of those kinds of records very easliy. I do know that almost the entire 7th Company of the Saracens was wiped out, but only because I was present for the event. Well sort of - I had a pict-recorder that was streaming footage that was present for the event   Inquisitor Tyburn Graves - killed in action during a voidship battle   3 Lunar-Class Cruisers; 2 Endurance-Class Cruisers; 3 Firestorm-Class Escort Vessels; 2 Falchion-Class Escort Vessels; 1 Cobra-Class Escort Vessel; 1 Sword-Class Escort Vessel   2714th Cadian Astra Militaurum Regiment entirely wiped out

The full Thracian Guard Adeptus Militaurum Chapter   The Forces of the T'aun Cy'an Sept   The 4th Aramian Renegade Astra Militaurum Regiment   1 Battle Barge provided by the Thracian Guard Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes   1 Cruiser Class Vessel, 4 Light-Cruiser Class Vessels, and 6 Escort Class Vessels provided by the T'aun Cy'an Sept (Perhaps a Xenos Specialist would be able to identify the names of these ship classes better, I'm only able to identify the Imperial ones thanks to notes left by one of our more navally-aligned Acolytes from one of Interrogator Rho-74's cells. )

Casualties

Unknown - these forces are difficult to discuss casualties with, given their status as xenos, renegades and *officially* heretics.
