While the Nightingale bloodline is well known for being filled with prominent superheroes, not everything in the world is quite so black and white. Chloe Martinez started her career not as a superhero, but as a career criminal, and Victor Nightingale’s arch-nemesis. Despite their rivalry, she had her playful, taunting side, toying with him with the occasional flirt or innuendo.
Over time, however, the crimes she committed that led to their fights became less serious and more petty, and her flirtatious side growing more prevalent, until it became clear to Victor that Chloe was genuinely interested in him. The two got married not long after, and gave birth to Grant Nightingale.

Lesedi began her career as a burglar and assassin. Orion once caught her in the act of robbing a high-security vault, but was unable to apprehend her. The two quickly became each other's nemesis, but over the years that they fought, they began to learn more about each other, especially when forced to work together. It took many years, but their hatred towards each other was piece by piece replaced by love.
