Personal history
Not much can really be understood about the subject as much of lore and canonicity is constantly debated on much like any other aethereal spirit. Not really any of the human scholars can agree if there's any real definitive proof regarding her as the first woman/wife of Adam mentioned in Abrahamic lore, and some speculate that her name might have just been based around succubus like demon from Mesopotamia myth Lilitu. The main reason that we that there is a spirit named Lilith currently operating as an Abyss Lord is due to an interrogation of a Daemon a few years who mentioned to be working with the Abyss Lord Lilith. This lead to many to speculate on this t the time and many researchers began to think that the Lilith mentioned could be a Tulpa type spirit since there was no evidence to suggest she ever truly existed.
However, around two years ago new ruins were discovered by Vigil Head Director Roman Ecklar while he was partaking in a separate expedition in Iraq. The ruins brought up a lot of information regarding the Lost Age that was lost during thousands of years of conflict between the remaining races. In what could be translated there was an individual by the name of Lilitu who fought along side a man name Adamu fought in the war against the Forsaken and the two would later join in union and try to stabilize the freed humanity. There really isn't much else that's noteworthy but this did spark new debates regarding Lilith, with the most popular being this Lilitu mentioned earlier might have been the inspiration for the story of Lilith. Once she eventually died she ascended and corrupts, becoming a Daemon who later adopted the name Lilith like how many gods or aethereal spirits adopting names given to them by other cultures through out the passage of time.
There's also one more account brought up in the records of the Arcane Institute was the theory regarding the original Noctis. See in the 'lore' of the Noctis race that's spread among their kind there was the original Noctis who was a woman referred to as Layla who spread the curse in ancient times. In the reports referring to Lilitu it was brought how she fought like a beast and never seem to die regardless of her injuries, very similarly to a Noctis. Given the similar meaning in the name Layla and Lilith, Lilith constantly being compared to a succubus and a vampire by much of her lore, and Lilith and Lilitu potentially being the same person new theories have began sprouting believing that Layla might be Lilith as well. However, this is mostly speculation and ultimately has little to no proof.
At the moment this is all the information that was available regarding the subject.
