Withering Consumption

This dreaded condition is known to potentially affect any person that spends time adventuring and fighting. No one knows exactly what causes this, but it seems to find people whom often receive injury or are regularly knocked unconscious in tense situations.
Those suffering from 'the Withering' as it is sometimes known, find it harder to recover from injuries. They also find it harder to return to fighting condition after being knocked out in combat.

Symptoms

• A slight chilling and tingling in the extremities.
• Weakness in the legs and back after regaining consciousness.

Treatment

Must be removed by clerical magic, such as Lesser Restoration or similar, more powerful magic.
Even once it is cured, someone who has contracted the disease in the past is more likely to contract it again in the future.

Affected Groups

Any mortal being may be afflicted, but those that adventure and take damage are far more likely to contract the disease.
