Violet Spine Spires

These tall, arching cactus are well known for their sweet (if somewhat tough) flesh, and sweetly fragrant purple flowers. The cactus flowers bloom twice a year, and the flowers can be ground into a paste, which is said to cure natural poisons.

An average cactus stalk (6 inches around, 25 inches tall) can be harvested to produce 2 food rations, and 1 water ration for an average sized humanoid. The purple flowers (if in bloom) can be harvested to mix into a single healing salve.
