Adjudicators serve as the Judges and Magical Investigators of the Tall Stones militant police force. They travel in groups referred to as Keeper Cells, usually comprised on 3 Bulwarks, 1 Caller and 1 Adjudicator. Adjudicators, as part of their Keeper Cells, act as judge and jury in daily disputes and squabbles that are part of city life.

Qualifications

To become an Adjudicator, one must be born in Tall Stones and very familiar with it's laws and customs. In addition in order to be accepted into the Adjudicators, one must be a powerful wizard or sorcerer, and have a clear criminal record.

Career Progression

Joining a Keeper Cell is usually proceeded with either 10-60 years of military service, or at least 25 years of training at a Mage Academy within the city. Bulwarks can become Callers or Adjudicators with sufficient training, just as a Caller can also advance to an Adjudicator with sufficient merit, skill and training.

Payment & Reimbursement

Adjudicators are paid a weekly sum of 15Gp, which can be increased or decreased based upon reports filed by members of the public and other keeper cells. If multiple reports are filed by the public claiming a member of a Keeper Cell has acted inappropriately or with excessive violence, they will receive a written demerit and a temporary decrease in pay; alternatively if multiple positive reports are received, a temporary pay increase and written article of merit will be provided.

Adjudicators are very well respected within Tall Stones. They often receive small gifts from locals, or discounts in many reputable establishments.
