Soldier

Soldiers are trained regulars skilled in the use of long-range firearms. As the age of sword and steel fades a little more each day, this new breed of warrior rises to fill the gap. Defined not by strength, but by skill and endurance, a well-trained soldier can turn the tide of conventional warfare. Some nations are more receptive to the idea of integrating riflemen into their ranks than others, but no army is seen without them these days.   Base Combat Stats:
Weapon(s) of Choice: Muzzle-loaded Rifle +2 DMG, 1 turn to reload
Armor of Choice Steel Breastplate +4 HP
Starting Skill Slots:
Rifle Melee Hit the Target with the butt of your rifle; Prevents Target from melee attacking you for 1 turn. Roll damage dice with no modifiers unless bayonet is equipped.
Soldier's Order Order another Party Member to attack 1 Target on their next turn before any other Player or Target acts.
Marksman Shot Hit the Target from medium range for 5 DMG
Basic Skill Tree:
  Soldier's Allegiance:   - Soldier of Fortune: A soldier who may have once received formal training but is now a hired gun taking jobs in the martial forces of any number of clients. This soldier may be a trainer of the client's forces, or perhaps the best soldier in his or her ranks. It doesn't matter to this soldier, as long as they get paid - for noble or ignoble reasons.
- Lv.1 Specialization Skill - Mercenary's Fiscal Sense:
+5 Intelligence where economic matters are concerned.   - Soldier of Duty: A soldier whose only duty is to their nation, people, or order. Such a soldier values loyalty above all else. Furthering the cause of their chosen allegiance through military discipline and prowess is their highest goal.
- Lv.1 Specialization Skill - Soldier's Respect: +5 Charisma whenever speaking with someone from your allegiance nation or organization.   - Soldier of No Flag: Perhaps this solder has recently retired, perhaps they fled the field of battle, or perhaps they were dishonorably discharged from service in disgrace. Whatever the reason, such a soldier has no higher authority to pledge allegiance to; and is too proud to become a mercenary. He or she is now a commoner with a soldier's skills.
