Albion Currency

In the The Empire of Albion , there are Gold Coins, Silver Coins, Copper Coins, and Banknotes all in use. The coinage is established by the Imperial Mint, and is the official currency of the empire. Banknotes are mostly issued by the Bank of Albion, although there are some smaller banks who issue their own notes, as well as foreign banknotes. How acceptable those banknotes are to merchants can vary wildly, but the Bank of Albion does provide exchange services for many of them (for a fee).

By Imperial Decree, the Gold to Silver ratio is set at 15:1, and the Gold to Copper ratio is set at 160:1.

All Albion coinage displays the profile of the Empress on one side, with a variety of designs on the reverse.
