Special abilities

Ryan is a powered human with the ability to give herself and others superpowers for a limited time. The time limit is made shorter by the number of powers being granted. This power displays as orbs of light which are absorbed into the person's body, after which they gain powers.
Powers Ryan has given include: regeneration, energy drain, Hydrokinesis, concussion beams, and an energy projection power that seems to be the same one Dan has. She is capable of many more, and can learn new powers from seeing them in action.
(For example, it’s possible that the regeneration she gave Elliot was copied from the height of Jenette Alexander’s powers.)

Personal history

Ryan Morgan was born in Buffalo, New York in 1984. Her powers emerged when she was 14, and she saw a brief career as a hero in the early days of government regulation. Fortunately, an older hero was able to discourage her before anything awful happened to Ryan.   For years after, Ryan dedicated herself to training, planning to become a hero when she was older. However, regulation had spread and developed into a much more functional system by the time she was 18. Ryan postponed her dream while she tried to make the requirements.
Eventually, Ryan signed on with the United States Magical Regulation Organization in 2005, the same year it became a UN group and shortened its name to the more recognizable Organization. She has earned a reputation as a powerful fighter, skilled hand to hand combatant, and detective.
Ryan was assigned to Team Conviction with Elliot Marshal and Amukta Mayla Devi. They worked together throughout the Enamist Crisis, including assisting with the final raid that arrested Naomi Enami. Team Conviction was also involved in the capture and interrogation of high profile Enamist Jennette Alexander. When Alexander later escaped, Team Conviction was part of the defense, and Marshal and Devi pursued Alexander and King during their escape.
Devi was killed in the line of duty during that pursuit. Elliot and Ryan were both hugely affected by this lost, but they continued to lead the ORG into its future. As of 2020, Ryan is the longest serving veteran ORG agent in the combatant sector. She and Elliot are the main command staff of ORG throughout Team Resolute’s run.
Ryan has retired by the time of the second artifact crisis.

Education

Ryan received a high school diploma in the United States. She has completed additional training in the ORG, and met her command rank training requirements.

Contacts & Relations

Ryan has many contacts in the world of powered and magical law enforcement. She doesn’t talk about friends or family while on the job, and her only close work friend is Elliot. However, she has mentioned a romantic partner in the past.
