Mangrove Creche

This city of Black Dragonborn is a paradox considering the nature of Black Dragonborn and the nature of their progenitors and the swamp they call home. The city is built in a forest of enormous mangroves, many of the buildings are treehouses attached to the trunks or strung between them with wooden walkways weaving through the air or floating between the roots to make movement around the city possible. Several canals allow for boat travel as well and floating houses dot the murky water between the Mangroves.   The city lies where three black dragon territories overlap, another paradox of sorts where these three dragons have opted to work together and unite their clans into what would become the Mangrove Creche. One has only to look at the various temple ruins that dot the swamps of Solags Folly, as well as the Black Dragon skulls that adorn the non ruined ones to see why this situation may have arisen. The Black Dragons and the Yuan'Ti of the archipelago have constantly warred for supremecy, while the Black Dragons are powerful they rarely would fight together and often would fight each other more than the Yuan'Ti. The creation of Mangrove Creche nearly two hundred years ago spelled a change in that and the Archipelago sits at an uneasy stalemate between the two peoples. The three dragons are known as the "Three Mothers" and are all   Ruled by a Triumvirate of the Eldest surviving Half-Dragons of the three nearby Dragons, with advisors of half-dragons from other clans in Solags Folly on the council though without any real say in the city. The three clans generally mind their own and there is only interference from the council in situations involving separate clans or non-dragonborn in the city. The population is mostly Black Dragonborn with Kobolds and Lizardfolk making up nearly all the rest. A small population of humans and goblins exist as well.
