Paul doesn't step in puddles anymore. Not since his injury, which is what he calls it. Before his injury he used to step in puddles without a care in the world, and hunt monsters. Now he counts coins (so far he can keep track on just his hands)* for puddle steppers and monster hunters, and warms his feet by the fire. *He can actually count and write, but why bother when you dont need to
