Mutations

There were two waves of mutations that pertained to the whole of the planet Terra, with a third being exclusive to those that remained of the mutated humans.
Wave one mutations took place in the Cataclysm, when all creatures got their first connection to Osu. This gave them their first typing/affinity towards any given elemental powers.
Wave two mutations where the indirect result of the Cataclysm. When it had killed many, it had caused an enormous amount of Osu to return to the planets' core, which resulted in more than usual to leak out onto the planets' surface. This exposed surviving creatures to excess Osu and therefore caused dual typing.
A fusion are creatures that got possessed by a human echo, causing their genetic material to be fused with the echoes' and creating a combination of human and creature. Sometimes, the personality of the echo can still exist within the living being, but the norm is that the echoes' personality disappears with the fusing. Echoes of humans are exclusive here, since they are the strongest echoes and refuse to move on.

Fusions are omnivorous. While some lean more towards vegetation or predation, all of them are capable of eating both.
