The Kingun Clan

Kingun are defined by the relationship between "sires" and "spawns". Spawn are innately loyal to their sires, to the point of being considered nearly mindless. Sires' treatment of their spawn is the real deciding factor in the spawn's mental facilities. Well-treated spawns tend to freer thinkers and independent. If a sire neglects or abuses their spawn, the innate loyalty is forced to shut down the parts of the spawns' brains that give them personal identity. Spawn must wait for their sire to die before they can become a sire themselves.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Kingun appear the same as they did in life save for a set of fangs and claw-like nails. Kingun sires sport red irises while the spawns have red sclera.

Genetics and Reproduction

Kingun are true vampyrs, spawning more of their kind by draining a victim of blood entirely and then burying them in a shallow grave. The spawn rises within a few days, loyal to their sire.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Kingun need blood from “people” to survive but can use animal blood to supplement and stave off hunger. They can eat solid food but it is often tasteless to them.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Weaknesses:  Kingun are bound to their sire and cannot disobey them. Only the sire can tolerate sunlight (though it still hurts their eyes). Running water burns their skin, they cannot see their reflections, and the spawn needs permission to enter a home. Garlic burns their skin. The only way to kill them is to cut off their heads but staking them makes them fall into a coma until the stake is removed. They are tied to their burial and either rest in coffins or carry a trinket or article of clothing they were buried in.     Strengths/Abilities:  While plenty can harm a Kingu, they are nearly indestructible. Their power over their spawn makes them formidable as they are rarely alone. Their strength is slightly more than that of elyr. They have enhanced senses and the ability to turn into mist. They have mild psychic powers which let them hypnotize people with simple instructions.
Descriptor Stats:   Hypnotism: You can hypnotize a victim with simple commands (mind check)   Turn into Mist: You can turn into mist, making you invulnerable to might and speed damage. You are unable to attack in this form.   Indestructable: The only way to kill you is by chopping off your head. You can be pushed to 1 health in your last pool but decaptitation is required to reach 0.   Inability: Defense tasks against water, wood, and garlic are more difficult.   Additional Equipment:   Spawn/Sire: Most Kingun have spawn, which is a vampiric minion who must do their bidding. These are weaker than true Kingun.   Grave Object: You must carry an object you had with you at your burial.
