Dark District of Munkkiniemi

There are only tens of thousands of people living in Munkkiniemi as most people left the district after it was cut from the power grid more than twenty years ago and plunging the district into cold and darkness. Nowadays there are a number of communities and gangs who have set up their own energy grid in order to be able to live there.

Munkkiniemi is the best place in the city if you want to hide something or someone. Thus Munkkiniemi has become the black market of Helsinki where a buyer can find anything they need as long as they know who to ask.

There are virtually no public services in Munkkiniemi, just finding a road good enough to drive through is a task in itself. None of the police forces ever visit this district and corporations rarely visit Munkkiniemi with company logos on sight.
