Tanra's Jarldom
Once ruled by Jarl Unfrid, a great warrior who became a weak ruler. Unfrid bowed to Gudrun and gave his son to be Gudrun's Ward. Unfrid's second in command did not take this well, he took an opportunity to challenge for position of Jarl and won, killing those of Unfrids family afterwards. Tanra the newly established Jarl rules through fear now and if rumour serves correct has hired Metrusian mercenaries to bolster his forces.
The Jarldom is one of the smallest, it's capital Hyrind sits in the shadow of the Hvittopp Mountains deep within Vinter Furu. The Jarldom sits on the Western shore of Lake Vise, the largest lake in all the Shieldlands. The city of Hyrind is a small city, set into an old Dwarven settlement, carved out of the mountain itself. It is unknown how deep into the mountains the keep actually goes for tunnels have been shut behind great dwarves doors for centuries.
Vinter Furu is home to a small community of Firbolgs, they live peacefully in tune with nature around them, many of them having an affinity for the druidic arts. These Firbolgs still have to ensure their survival amidst a forest full of dangerous predators such as Basilisks Ice Trolls and Frost Salamanders.
