Library of Einaitis Gnosis
E-n-A-tis G-no-sis
An extra-planar library full of knowledge. The library goes on for forever and contains all knowledge ever known written in books, scrolls, hieroglyphics. It also stores the complete life history of every being to ever exist or will exist (unclear if that changes depending on how the future changes). The knowledge is sorted and organized by silent librarians. Large silent creatures made of ink and stand 9 feet tall (varies), with white masks on their faces that loosely resemble owls. They also guard the library from any vandalism or thievery. The icon of knowledge oversees the librarians and moves about the library making sure everything is in order. The icon is a 15 foot tall owl being with a large white face and black feathers covering the rest of the body (similar to a barn owl). He can speak and even though he can he never leaves the library. Both the librarians and the icon guard the knowledge ferociously and will kill anyone attempting to damage or remove books without permission.
The library itself is a living being. It is the god of knowledge, chosing to take the form of a library instead of a physical form. The library can be accessed by key areas in the real world by using very specific knocks to open the gateway. It is IMPARATIVE that anyone who enters uses the same door they entered from to leave. If they use another they could end up on the other side of the world or who knows where. Each gateway has it's own knock and cant be unlocked by any other means. The entrance on the library side may occasionally shift from time to time as the library is reorganized. Sometimes beings from other plains can be seen wandering the halls.
