In 1598, Nemarn raised an army in Soldra and marched south on the capital city of Harsann, capturing Laknas and Arknas on the way.
Early in 1599, Nemarn's forces reached Harsann, cutting off the harbour and laying siege to the city. Girin II eventually led a sally, driving Nemarn's army westwards towards Wissan.
