Order of the Blades
The Order of the Blades is a brotherhood of elite warriors renowned for their martial prowess and strict code of honour. It is based at the Tower of Blades on Teros Minor
The original Order was formed over a thousand years ago, and the Tower of Blades served as both a training ground and a place of contemplation, where initiates learned the ways of the blade and the philosophy of the Order. For generations, the order protected the lands of southern Teros Minor, keeping the coasts free of bandits and ensuring the safety of isolated settlements.
Three centuries ago, the order was shattered by the Terosian rulers. Many of its members were cut down in battle, and those who survived were either executed or scattered into exile. The Tower of Blades was abandoned, its halls falling silent and its armouries stripped bare. Over the decades, the ruins of the Tower of Blades became a place of melancholy and legend, where locals whispered of restless spirits and lost glories.
Valoran Dassil, a young and ambitious warrior who claims to be a descendant of the last Grandmaster of the Blades. Dassil is determined to resurrect the order and restore its honour. Under his leadership, the tower is slowly coming back to life. The grand hall has been swept clear of debris, the stone walls are being reinforced, and a small but growing band of skilled fighters has taken up residence.
Dassil’s cause is gaining support among those disillusioned by the chaos and banditry plaguing Teros Minor. He envisions a new order: one that combines the discipline and traditions of the past with a pragmatic approach to the challenges of the present.
