Karn Salmanna

The shattered remains of Karn Salmanna stand in the desolate landscape of Bostin's eastern shores, a grim reminder of a cataclysmic battle that scarred the region centuries ago. Once a mighty fortress guarding the coast, the stronghold was obliterated in a fierce conflict with the forces of Teros. It was here that Gowedeen the Fell Wind, a powerful and feared mage, made his final stand. Gowedeen wielded a legendary artefact known as the Pale Blade—a dagger imbued with immense magical power.   In the battle’s final moments, Terosian battlemages unleashed a devastating torrent of energy that shattered the walls of Karn Salmanna and brought the mage to his knees. Gowedeen was slain, and the Pale Blade was lost amid the wreckage. The fortress itself, once a beacon of strength, was reduced to a crumbling ruin, its stones blackened and cracked by the unleashed magical fury. Vegetation has begun to reclaim the site, but the ruins still exude an air of foreboding, as if the land remembers the devastation wrought here.   Legends persist that the Pale Blade remains hidden somewhere beneath the rubble, dormant yet still brimming with power. This belief has attracted the attention of many—scholars seeking knowledge, treasure hunters chasing wealth, and, most disturbingly, followers of Pirogane, the god of discord and poison. Once cult, known as the Serpent’s Tongue, believes the dagger holds the potential to amplify their dark god’s influence and have begun to search the ruins for any trace of it.   While the exact location of the artefact remains a mystery, whispers of a hidden chamber beneath the main keep have begun to circulate. It is said that Gowedeen, foreseeing his defeat, sealed the Pale Blade within this chamber, using the last of his strength to cast powerful wards and traps to protect it.
