Jaltra Pilots Association

The Pilots Association of Jaltra represents the city's pilots and lighter operators. The organisation is led by @[Julmon Beemondeen](person:799b7120-073f-4904-9efe-dc9621c16537.
The city's harbour is fringed by precipitous cliffs and dangerous rocky outcrops, and ships rely on local pilots who know the waters intimately to help steer their sihps into port. These pilots charge large fees for doing so - and are therefore loathed by captains and the merchants that employ them. The Pilots Association acts as a union for the local pilots, giving them significant political clout in matters concerning the docks and Jaltra's surrounding waters.
