Boughbend
Boughbend is a three-day harvest festival that begins on the second Wilding of Lan Kulal.
Tree fruits such as dates and figs, as well as nuts, are harvested in the month of Lan Kulal. In rural communities, families gather to celebrate the harvest. Orchards are decorated with ribbons and flowers, and the air is filled with music and laughter. Villagers bring baskets of fruits and nuts to the temples and shrines of Girys, offering them in thanks for the harvest.
After the rituals, the community gathers to celebrate, sharing cakes, pastries, and other sweet goods. Young people dance through the orchards, singing songs of the harvest and celebrating the earth's abundance.
Two more days of celebration follow, and friends and families will often visit each other to bring gifts of cakes or fruit.
