Blessing of the Seed

The Blessing of the Seed is an annual religious festival that takes place on the first Wilding of Frenal.

The wetter weather during winter months allows crops to be sown once more. Priests of Girys lead processions of farmers and their families into the fields, where they bless the soil and the newly-panted seeds.
The day ends in each farmhouse with a simple meal, and further prayers to Girys for her blessings in the growing months ahead.
