Lament for Vesser
Plačal za Vesyr
Go, if you must, O child of the woods;
No longer must you roam.
Return to the Earth, where you once stood,
Let your brethren guide you home.
Amongst the branches and boughs of your Glen,
By starlight they will sing;
'Take heed! Here is the protector of men,
Young Vesser on silver wings.'
Shed not a tear, my dearest boy,
Nor shout or knit your brow,
For in the hearts you filled with joy,
Much grief resides there now.
Allow your heart to rest, my son,
Be at peace, your work is done.
Sevnóni Death Poem written and presented by Kastus Iharovich in memory of Vesser Highmore, following the latter's death in Sinopa at the hands of Rathwress.
