Daryá Phatak

The Daryá Phatak (Imperial Wythian: Sea Gate) is a massive fortress embedded upon the first island in the Bay of Yáddash Yakdár (IW: Ship Remembrance). Construction began in 130 BU and wasn't finished until 103 BU while Barazar was expanding their territorial claims. The fortress can be manned by approximately a few thousand men at full strength, although during times of peace the numbers hover in the hundreds. Ballistae and Catapults strategically line the walls of the fortress, making any navy that wished to sail past it opening themselves up to being harassed at great distance.

Wythe-Lagona War

During the Wythe-Lagona War the Aparnovosi besieged the Daryá Phatak for eight months before the fortress was brought to heel, making their further assaults into the Bay of Yáddash Yakdár and Niloofar itself a reality. After the war the fortress was torn down to ruins by the Aparnovosi as a precaution to ensure the Azarians could not defend the bay against them again.

Present Day

After the Fall of Aparnovos and the destruction of the Niloofar dalghenna, the Azarians began to rebuild their lost empire, and this included the reconstruction of the Daryá Phatak. Using the ruins as a template, the new Daryá Phatak is scheduled to be completed by 440 AU with updated defenses and technologies.
